Google Analytics

Google Analytics (GA) is a service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about a website's traffic and traffic sources and measures conversions and sales. This product is aimed at marketers as opposed to webmasters and technologists from which the industry of web analytics originally grew. It is the most widely used website statistics service.

GA can track visitors from all referrers, including search engines and social networks, direct visits and referring sites. It also displays advertising, pay-per-click networks, email marketing and digital collateral such as links within PDF documents.

Playoff Match up?

The Maple Leafs and Canadians meet on Saturday in hockey night in Canada. This could potentially be a playoff match up in the 1st round. As a Leafs fan i'm very happy about this, I think the Leafs have a shot to beat anybody, but playing the Canadians I think they have an even better chance. The Leafs have played well against Montreal all season and will look to do more of the same on Saturday and hopefully in the playoffs as well.

Playoff Potential

Dion and Phil
It is almost NHL playoff time and the Toronto Maple Leafs are poised to make a playoff run for the first time since the 03-04 season. I was 11 years old the last time I saw Maple Leaf playoff hockey so it goes without saying that this is way over due. I attended a game in the 1st round the last time the leafs were in the playoffs and I can't wait for Toronto to have that playoff feel to it again.

Nazem Kadri

Nazem Kadri is now 8th in the NHL in scoring after his 2 goal, 1 assist performance. Anyone who thought this kid was a bust has crossed over to the good side. Kadri has been the best leaf player since game 1. Nazem has done just about everything well passing, shooting, showing off his nifty mittens and even being responsible in his own zone. The Leafs need Kadri to keep this performance up for their playoff push

Tough Loss

After getting a 3-1 lead in the 2nd period last night from a goal from Mikhail Grabovski, the Maple Leafs fell down 4-3 to buffalo. In the 3rd Nazem Kadri tied it up with his second goal of the night. After overtime solved nothing, the leafs and sabres went through a 12 round shootout and Steve Ott of the sabres finished it off. The leafs face Boston on saturday and look to turn their luck around. The Leafs have been on a bit of a slide as of late, but they have been in every game and compete to win.

Battle of Ontario

The Maple Leafs travel to Ottawa this Saturday for their first meeting of the season with the Senators. The Leafs are looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss against the Hurricanes on Thursday night. They will need a much better effort from all four lines and need to keep the game simple. Here's to hoping they start another win streak.

Leafs travel to Carolina.

The Maple Leafs faced off against the Hurricanes Thursday night coming off a 4 game win streak. The Leafs didn't come out with the same intensity as the previous 4 games and a 3-1 became of it. Their lone goal came from Nazem Kadri on a deflection from a Dion Phanuef point shot. If the Leafs want to stay high in the standings while being the victims of multiple injuries (Reimer, Lupul, Frattin etc) then they will need a much better effort against Ottawa on Saturday.

Phil Kessel Trade Rumours.

I'd like to put this rumour to rest. Although Phil Kessel has yet to score his first goal of the season. He is still by far the Maple Leafs biggest scoring threat. It would make no sense to trade him now. Kessel is only 25 years old and has played 241 games as a leaf. In those 241 games he has 205 pts. Out of those 205 pts he has 99 goals. Pretty good numbers for a guy who is only 25, and who didn't exactly have the greatest line mates his first few years with the team. As he matures as a person and a player he's only going to get better, and that goes for Phil and this young leafs team.

Leafs Grind out the W

Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals 3-2. The Maple Leafs were down 2-1 but rallied back with goals from James Van Riemsdyk, Nikolai Kulemin and Matt Frattin. Phil Kessel had an abundance of scoring chances but still couldn't pop his first of the year. Phil will look to get one on Saturday against his old team as the Leafs take on the Bruins in Hockey Night in Canada.

Tough Loss for Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs saw a 3-1 first period lead evaporate in the 3rd period last night when they gave up 4 goals in the final period to finish the game with a 7-4 loss. The Maple Leafs saw goals from Carl Gunnarson, Nazem Kadri, Mikhail Grabovski and Matt Frattin. The Leafs are 2-2 this season, and will look to improve against the New York Rangers on Saturday.

Maple Leafs win 5-2!

The Toronto Maple Leafs went into Pittsburgh last night and stole the show with a character win. The Leafs got goals from Clarke MacArthur, Mikhail Grabovski, and Tyler Bozak, while James Van Riemsdyk scored his first two as a Leaf. Penguins captain Sidney Crosby scored his first of the year and added an assist but it wasn't enough and the Leafs went on to win the game 5-2.

They play the Islanders tonight!
